Farmer Ben grew up on a pig and sheep farm near Helmsley. It was only when he left Yorkshire to go to university that he realised how unique his upbringing had been. It is his dream to share real farming with the general public and to break down the barriers between the consumer and their food.

In his previous life, Ben was an exploration geologist, setting up remote camps in the Australian desert and Indonesian rainforest.

Farmer Em isn't from a farming background - she thought she was from the countryside until she visited Farmer Ben. She fell in love with the farming life and now can't get enough of it!

Emma is also the highly acclaimed author of two novels - How To Be A Good Wife and The Last Photograph. She writes under her maiden name - Emma Chapman.

Sophie Telford
Farm Shop Helper

Sophie works with us on a Monday, Thursday and Friday. She is an great multi-tasker and is also super friendly to customers.

Sophie also runs her own photography business, as well as SVT Bespoke Marketing, helping small business with marketing and social media.

Bart Blok
Farm Shop Helper

Bart works with us on a Thursday. He's a special gent who is always smiling and creates a positive atmosphere in the shop.

Bart is originally from The Netherlands and ran a rug restoration business for many years. Ask him for some interesting tales from these days of his life!

Laura Hargreaves
Farm Shop Helper

Laura works with us on a Saturday. She's very helpful and always offers to carry customers bags and boxes for them.

Laura is studying Media Hair and Make Up with Special Effects at University. She has lots of big plans for her future, including having her own makeup range.

Marie Quemerais
Farm Shop Helper

Marie is always a vibrant and jolly presence in the shop. She is super friendly and great with customers.

Marie works with us when she isn't at school, studying 5 A Levels and planning her starry future as an opera singer.
